When I opened this book, I was a bit surprised that the last chapter dealt with Oxford in the reign of Queen Victoria. Then I looked at the cover page; it was first printed in 1886! I'm not qualified to judge historical accuracy, but I can judge writing. It's sort of hard going for modern readers. This information is available somewhere on the book listing, I'm sure, but I certainly didn't look carefully enough to find it. Just be forewarned!Mary Lou Roberts
